Oven repair

Conventional ovens are the most used cooking in almost any household appliance since 1950s. They can be either electric or gas, also they come in different brands, sizes, types/styles. By installation type there are two different types: wall and free standing ovens. Electric ovens are less used than gas ones, but they have their pros, like: gas supply is not required to operate(safer), easier to clean and temperature is more stable, gas ovens, on the other hand are faster to heat up, lower price, lower expenses compared to electric ones, ability to use while power is out. Also there is combined(comb-oven) which is a hybrid type of gas and electric types. Often, following parts go out: heating element, igniter(bake/broil), control board, relay board, user interface board, temperature sensor. In order to diagnose the problem, a qualified technician has to check your appliance. DO NOT attempt to work on either gas or electric oven, due to gas line/high voltage in those units.

– do not use aluminum foil on the bottom part of your oven
– clean your unit regularly
– try to stay away from self-cleaning mode(might lead to overheating of the unit, which can cause issues)
– check door gaskets often
– get a power surge protector
